In 1885 two prominent artists, the photographer Peter Henry Emerson and the painter Thomas Frederick Goodall started on a collaboration to document the people and landscape of the Norfolk Broads. Emerson would make photographs and Goodall would paint in is houseboat studio. Here is a selection of Emerson’s photographs from the series.
