Rod Bradley made his first photographs at age 8 on a Kodak Brownie, and was struck by the raw magic of capturing light that would eventually be etched on paper. On his 12 birthday he purchased a 2 ¼ Yashica D for $19.00, with money he earned from a summer job picking strawberries. Rod has been taking pictures ever since. He continues to delight in attempting to capture the everyday magic of life and the perpetual kaleidoscope of its human landscapes.
"With camera in hand, I find myself in a meditative trance on the lookout for what strikes me as the poetry in the commonplace. A kind of subtle transcendence of a moment in time that will never reoccur that lives on to reveal what is so often overlooked."
