Virgil Apger

Virgil Apger (1903-1994) worked for years as an assistant to M-G-M portrait photographer Clarence Sinclair Bull before being allowed to shoot portraits, and these were on-location shots of starlets in 1932. Another fifteen years elapsed before Apger began working in earnest in the M-G-M portrait gallery, but what he had learned from Bull made for handsome work.
