Danielle Massell

Danielle Massell is a photographer, author, speaker, artist, mother, and technologist.

Danielle has always had a deep passion for capturing the authentic cultures and beauty of the world. Setting a personal goal to visit 100 countries before the age of 35, she dedicated herself to this mission. To support her true passions of travel and photography, Danielle worked in corporate technology roles.

From a young age, Danielle was immersed in the world of technology and creativity. Growing up with a Mac computer in her bedroom at the age of 4 and a darkroom by the time she was 5, she found the darkroom to be a magical space. Her earliest experiences included creating a pinhole camera and experimenting with image development for hours on end. Even in her childhood, Danielle engaged in family photo contests during vacations, where she often emerged victorious.

Graduating with a BA from the University of Michigan Art & Design School in 2007, Danielle crafted a career as a design and tech specialist, reserving photography as her weekend escape.

At 28, Danielle made the bold decision to leave her corporate job and embark on a personal journey to connect with the world firsthand, pursuing her life goal of visiting 100 countries before turning 35. This transition afforded her the opportunity to spend more time behind the lens, utilizing the array of lenses she had collected over the years.

Driven by a profound love for life and the world, Danielle is both an artist by nature and through her training. Photography becomes a medium through which she can share her unique perspective, allowing others to see the world through her eyes. Additionally, Danielle cherishes sharing the stories of her immersive life experiences. She began blogging during her travels and has since authored three books.

Having explored 100 countries worldwide, Danielle affirms the abundance of love, compassion, generosity, and kindness present in the world. Through her work, she strives to capture the true essence of each location in her images, inviting others to delight in these experiences.
