Lon Chaney, Jr. (1906-1973): Lon Chaney, Jr. strove to outrun the shadow of an illustrious father, and did achieve renown in films such as Of Mice and Men (1939), High Noon (1952), and , most famously, The Wolf Man (1941). He said: “I am not proud of the name Lon Chaney, Jr., because they had to starve me to make me take this name.”
