FATHOM is pleased to present a collection of art and photography collaborations from Fabrice Henssens and friends.
Here's Fabrice on the project:
"The story behind this photo is all about being at the right place at the right time. The day I captured this iconic image, I was shooting my friend’s graffiti art around Melrose. I saw Tupac and the Outlawz driving in a convertible Rolls Royce Corniche. I immediately turned my focus to them. I captured this image on the last frame of my roll of film while driving alongside 2Pac+Outlawz. It became the front cover of the posthumous “Still I Rise” album. The Outlawz were giving me dirty looks while Tupac smiled and looked at the camera. I knew I had obtained the shot. Tupac is still one of the most prolific rappers of all time. His music will live on forever. It will inspire and move future generations. I am honored, privileged, and proud that I can be part of the Tupac legacy through my images. The brilliant artists who collaborated on this image are friends of mine. Some are pioneers in graffiti, hip-hop culture. All the pieces are one of a kind, hand embellished archival pigment prints."
