Gary Palmer is an internationally recognized artist whose creative journey has taken him from the streets of Belfast to the boardwalk of Venice Beach. Born in Northern Ireland during a period of conflict, he initially sought refuge in art before earning a Master's degree in Architecture from the University of Edinburgh. Palmer first gained global attention as an ephemeral street painter, creating massive 3D anamorphic chalk drawings at festivals around the world. After settling in California in the late 1990s, he transitioned his focus to the studio, developing a highly distinctive, meditative style. His expansive portfolio ranges from the socially conscious, figurative storytelling of his African travels to completely distilled, minimalist landscapes painted in sumi ink. A dedicated community activist and founder of The Distillery LA, Palmer's artwork consistently explores themes of cultural harmony, resilience, and the healing power of the creative process.
