Robert Landau (b. 1953, Los Angeles) | Photographer and Author
A master of Urban Landscape photography, Robert documents every location he covers with his unique style and warmhearted sense of humor. From Los Angeles to Paris to Istanbul, his photography has an uncanny ability to highlight the things that we all have in common. A published author and photographer, Landau's work has been exhibited in gallery and museum shows through out the US and Europe.
Professional Background:
Robert graduated from the Calif. Inst. for the Arts in 1976 and immediately began working as a professional freelance photo-journalist taking on newspaper, magazine and book assignments. He was aligned with the pioneering west coast photo agency Westlight (now Getty Images). Robert also worked on staff with travel journalist and PBS Producer Peter Greenberg, shooting stills for productions of several episodes of the Royal Tour series, including programs with Jordan's King Abdullah ll, presidents of Mexico and Ecuador, and Prime Ministers of New Zealand and Jamaica.

Additionally, Roberts work has been exhibited in several museum exhibitions including: American Advertising Museum in Portland, Arco Center for Visual Arts in Los Angeles, Bartlesville Museum in Oklahoma, Getty’s Pacific Standard Time in Los Angeles, High Desert Museum in Yucca, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, National Theater in London.
Robert’s photography is also in the permanent collection of the Oakland Museum and is on permanent display at LAX’s Tom Bradley International Terminal. His photographs have hung in numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout the US and Europe.
