Lillian Diana Gish (October 14, 1893 – February 27, 1993): American actress whose career spanned an incredible 75 years, from 1912 to 1987. The career of Lillian Gish began in the early days of silent films and ended in the “indie” 80s because her unique blend of fragility and strength made her a star for all seasons. Gish once said: “I’ve never been in style, so I can’t go out of style.”
