About FATHOM

We're small by design. What we have instead of scale is time in the business (26 years and counting). And the contacts that come with it — enough reach to work directly with more than 70 artists and estates, plus museums, institutions, and international brands, while keeping every edition under our own roof. The through line in everything we touch is an exploration of how fine art, photography, and pop culture interact and the dialogue between historical masters and the artists carrying that work forward.

Publishing

We publish limited edition prints, monographs, art books, and catalogues, alongside open edition wall decor. We don't run a survey; we follow what we love, so the range is wide on purpose — new artists we want seen, masters worth revisiting, and the giants of film, fashion, music, and design. We also unearth lost archives. Drawing on a licensed collection of more than two million vintage images, our Archive Editions bring overlooked art and photography back into print, so the work survives and its makers get found again. Every edition is printed in-house at Studio Iconix, our Los Angeles facility, on paper and canvas certified archival by the European Fine Art Trade Guild. More on our publishing program →

Exhibitions

We mount solo and group shows at our Wilshire gallery and take the work well beyond it. Past exhibitions have hung in wineries, partner galleries, and outdoor print festivals, and traveled to music festivals and trade shows across the country. We're hanging shows at Wilshire again now, while we scout larger spaces for traveling exhibitions. See current and past exhibitions →

Trade Services

We supply studio services to museums, galleries, interior designers, and outside publishers. With our distribution partner, Green City Fine Arts we build bespoke wall art programs for national retails and art dealers. We also handle art sourcing and commissions, image licensing, and fine art printing for outside clients. Trade accounts are open to qualified galleries, designers, and retailers.  Explore trade services →

History

Our roots reach back to the late 1970s, when the founders worked in marketing and entertainment. The art business came in 2000; the first print studio in 2009, with digital-printing pioneer Bill Swann. FATHOM Gallery opened at Bergamot Station in 2014, moved to downtown Los Angeles, then returned to the Westside on Wilshire in 2018 — where we hang shows today. Read the full history →
