Alison started her photography career covering Hollywood’s storied club scene in the 1980s — still in high school, before she was old enough to even get a driver’s license. Shooting Heavy Metal and Punk in LA, she later moved to Seattle and photographed the emerging Grunge scene. Her work from the very start had a unique ability to both capture the energy of the concert as reportage and inject a sense of portraiture, giving us a little deeper viewpoint into each performer. She has been widely published and exhibited at both the gallery and museum level.
