Eric Carpenter

Eric Carpenter (1909-1976) was another Clarence Bull assistant who moved into the M-G-M portrait gallery in the 1940s when Bull began to spend more time managing the photo department. Carpenter did especially well with the crop of young actresses who shot to fame in the 1940s: Judy Garland, Ingrid Bergman, Ava Gardner, and Donna Reed. When the studio closed down its gallery in the 60s, he continued as a unit still photographer.
