Kenneth Alexander

Kenneth Alexander (1887-1975) came to Hollywood in 1925 to shoot Lillian Gish’s portraits for the prestigious Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (M-G-M) production of La Bohéme. Alexander had been shooting private and theatrical portrait commissions in New York for twenty years. By 1930, he was working full time at the United Artists Studio and continued through its transition to Goldwyn Studios. His work was not individual enough to save his position when he joined fascist groups in the late 1930s.
