Roman Freulich was brought to Universal pictures as a unit still photographer by his brother Jack in the early 30s and continued after the studio shakeup of 1936. He became the head of the portrait gallery at Republic Pictures in 1944, and later freelanced at Paramount, RKO, and United Artists.
