The Eagles play a rare form of rock ‘n’ roll that always manages to instill peace and contentment in the listener. This is probably why The Eagles are in the top 20 best selling-musical artists of all time. Getting started in 1971, founding members Glenn Frey and Don Henley put together a vocal-driven folk rock band whose eponymous debut album the following year released three songs that quickly became top 40 hits. And although The Eagles were technically an overnight success, their fame was anything but short-lived. Nearly five decades later, The Eagles continue playing to the delight of millions of fans all over the world and have many times over solidified their place in history as one of the greatest rock bands to ever play a note or grace a stage.
