Description
Grunge Music Photography | Portraiture Photography
Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl in an outtake from Greg Watermann’s session for Spin’s January 1992 issue, which gave Nirvana their first major magazine cover. Shot from above on a tilt, the three crowd between the bars of a metal railing and look straight up into the lens.
Curator’s Note: Exposing the background nearly white turns that metalwork into hard black lines framing the band, looking steady, calm and maybe a little wary.
