Cindy Blackman Santana collaborated with SceneFour to create abstract art pieces that capture the unique nature of her musical performances.
This new genre of art, Rhythmic Expressionism, was developed by SceneFour as a way to translate live music onto museum canvas. The process incorporates drumsticks lit with various colored LED lights. It’s Cindy’s unique drumming technique; her patterns, speeds, intensity that form the foundation of the final piece. Once the drum solos are digitally captured, SceneFour works directly with Cindy to ensure the final piece reflects the spirt of the music.
An American jazz and rock drummer, Cindy Blackman Santana, has had an 18-year run as Lenny Kravitz's touring drummer. In addition to role as a band leader of her own groups, she has also performed and recorded with Santana since 2010, and many other world class recording artists throughout her career.
