Rachel's paintings move at a quiet register. Natural palettes, soft light, surfaces worked and reworked until they hold a slow, settled calm. In 2017 she transitioned from landscapes and turned to full abstraction — Transformations first, then Revival, then Expansion — each series trading recognizable form for openness, color, and the feel of light without a fixed source. Her work has been exhibited across Canada and in New York. In 2017 she was commissioned by the United Nations for the Montreal Protocol's 30th anniversary. Rachel Taggart lives and works in Toronto, Canada.
