Artist: Robert Landau
Title: Electric Fountain

- 24X30, edition of 5
Curator's Note: A long shutter renders the fountain's water as solid bands of light — yellow and green arcs frozen in mid-trajectory, fanning outward around and behind the central figure. The kneeling sculpture stays crisp and still: hands cupped at her knees, head bowed, illuminated by the same yellow-gold light that paints the spray. Behind her, deep twilight sky. The arcs read almost like a graphic flourish — a halo of luminous geometry. Without the long exposure this is just a fountain. With it, the photograph becomes water rendered as architecture and time made visible..
